IWR 2009 LAST DAYSun and good North breeze for the last 4 races of the event

The 19th Imperia Winter Regatta came to an end on a sunny day allowing to sail 4 races for the 470 class and 3 for 420 and Laser with a northerly wind in the early morning building up up to 12/14 knots from east.
In the class 470 the male fleet - 34 entries from Germany, Hungary, Italy, Slovenia, Switzerland - the winner is Siviz/Farneti (ITA)
In the 470 female fleet - 13 entries from Croatia, Germany, Italy, Switzerland - the winner is Bochmann/Lorenz (GER)
In the Laser Standard fleet - 27 entries from Austria, Hungary, Italy, Monaco, Switzerland - the winner is Michele Regolo (ITA)
In the Laser Radial - 4 entries, tu male from Hungary, two female from Italy and Monaco - the winner is Elisabetta Macchini (ITA)
In the 420 class Open fleet - 73 entries from Austria, France, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Switzerland, UK - the winner is Sparks/Gratton (GBR)
In the 420 female fleet - 45 entries from Austria, Croatia, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Switzerland, UK - the winner is Wetz/Parladori (ITA)
In the L≠Equipe fleet the winner is Savio-Savio (ITA)
More than 400 sailors coming from 14 countries (Algeria, Austria, Croatia, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Monaco, Netherlands, Slovenia, Switzerland, UK ) had to wait for the wind ashore until the early afternoon but after that time the race commmittee could give the start of the first race of the day.
Races of 19th Imperia Winter Regatta will be managed by an International Jury (officials coming from Austria, France, Germany, Greece, Israel and Italy) while at see the Race Committe will be managed by Italian officials.
The IWR is an ISAF Grade 3 event.
