IWR 2008 PRESENTED TO PRESS IN THE TOWN HALLImperia, 1st December 2008
The 19th Imperia Winter Regatta has been presented today in the Imperia Municipality Room: the event will be held once again in Oneglia Harbour from 4th to 7th December 2008 with the organization of Yacht Club Imperia.
Due to the work in progress for the new marina in 2008 the event will last only four days but a large fleet is expected: 420 (open and female), olympic classes 470 (male and female) and Laser Standard (male), Laser Radial (male and female) will race in a series of 9 races.
The young crews of L'Equipe will race as well on the same days.
Over 400 sailors coming from Algeria, Austria, Croatia, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Monaco, Netherlands, Slovenia, Switzerland, UK will take part in the races that will be sailed of three different sail areas.
Races of 19th Imperia Winter Regatta will be managed by an International Jury (officials coming from Austira, France, Germany, Greece, Israel and Italy) while at see the Race Committee will be mangaed by Italian officials.
